Welcome to คนภเขา The Hill Tribes A Coffee Bar By Phu Chaisai, a hidden gem nestled in the serene hills of Mae Salong Nai, Chiang Rai. This unique cafe is not only a sanctuary for coffee lovers but also a heartfelt initiative that employs local hill tribes, making it a place that resonates with culture and community spirit.

As you approach this charming cafe, the journey itself is enchanting. Tucked away at the end of a dirt road, the atmosphere transforms into a picturesque retreat, ideal for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the warm ambiance and elegant décor—crafted with care to emulate the beauty of a mountain hilltop. At the center of this delightful space, a tree stretches upwards, adding a touch of nature to your coffee experience.

Although many patrons recommend indulging in their delicious menu, you may find yourself mesmerized by the stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains instead. Patrons rave about the vibe created by the high-energy and kind-hearted owner, alongside her playful cute hybrid pig and two affectionate English sheepdogs that add to the distinctive character of the place.

Take a moment to enjoy a warm cup of freshly brewed cappuccino as you soak in the sights. Reviews highlight the drink's quality, noting that even if some felt the coffee was average, the overall experience was more than enough to elevate their visit. Hari Shankar encapsulated this sentiment, stating, "A very unique cafe... with good food and drinks and very nice people serving the fare." You simply cannot miss the opportunity to wander through the gardens, which provide breathtaking panoramas, as Eric Thomas suggests: "Don't miss walking through them to the ends. You will be rewarded."

This cafe is a testament that sometimes the journey is as rewarding as the destination, with every visit promising delightful surprises. Clara Medalie described it perfectly: "We stumbled across the entrance and drove up, and were amazed at the beauty... It's designed to resemble a mountain hilltop." Whether it’s a cozy coffee pit stop or a leisurely afternoon spent savoring their offerings amidst nature, คนภเขา The Hill Tribes A Coffee Bar By Phu Chaisai is a must-visit destination for both locals and travelers seeking an authentic taste of Northern Thailand.

A very unique cafe and restaurant with a good view, run by a high-energy, kind old lady who has a cute hybrid pig that behaves like a dog + cat, and 2 old english sheep dogs. Good food and drinks and very nice people serving the fare. A very good enterprise for providing employment to the hill tribes!!

Hidden gem with elegant styled decor at the hilltop, surrounded by incredible views! Surprising find in such a remote area! We didn’t eat, although the food looked delicious- we had a coffee pit stop which was so worth it!

Absolute gem of a stop — we stumbled across the entrance and drove up, and were amazed at the beauty, warm ambiance, and attention to detail of the place. It’s designed to resemble a mountain hilltop, and a tree grows in the center of the space. The cappuccino was delicious

A lovely cafe with almost 360 degrees of mountain view. The drink was decent, but the coffee was just average. However, i would still recommend people to give it a try since the view and decor are more than made up for it. The cafe belongs to the same owner with Phu Chai Sai, which you can expect comfy seating and great decor. To get there, you will have to pass through 1 lane dirt road, which could be a problem if there is a car on the opposite side. But it was only for 200-300 meters.

Amazing views in every direction. Didn’t try the food but the dessert was decent and the coffee was good as well. So well decorated and the gardens have spectacular views. Don’t miss walking through them to the ends. You will be rewarded.

This cafe situated deep from the main road. This is definitely not a place to stop by but only serious cafe hopper take effort to pay a visit. Somehow mountain view at the cafe worth the visit. Coffee is average. Visitor come for view and photogenic scene.

It's really worth to make the route till here. It's not he typical place you find on your route, but much more a destination while you can enjoy the route. Peaceful, manicured, excellent service, great food and coffee... And a stunning view

What is amazing coffee shop !!! Out of tourist attractions, must visit . New build by local tribes specialists from rooftops to floor modern design with local twist , very carefully , clever designed , done by owner Khun Da ( I hope I spell your name correctly darling) . Beautiful warm atmosphere with perfect service, thanks girls . They continue to do some little construction and planting a lot of trees . View is to die for !!! Definitely will be back in my next visit to Chang Rai .
